Predicting Nurses’ Burnout Based on Personality Traits, Work-family Conflict and Social Support in the COVID-19 Epidemic

Background & Aims Considering the prevalence of COVID-19, sensitivity nursing profession, and harmful effects job burnout on quality care, present study aims to investigate role personality traits, work-family conflicts, social support in predicting nurses during COVID-19 pandemic. Materials Methods This descriptive-analytical with a cross-sectional design was conducted from August September 2021, coinciding fifth wave Iran, 130 working four hospitals Ilam province, who were selected by random sampling method. Data collection tools demographic form, Maslach questionnaire, NEO inventory, Carlson's conflict scale, Zimet's multidimensional scale perceived support. The collected data analyzed SPSS software, version 26 using Pearson's correlation test regression analysis. significant level set at 0.05. Results According results analysis, relationship negative (P<0.05). extroversion had highest effect emotional exhaustion (β=-0.351). Perceived no (P>0.05). Agreeableness depersonalization (β=0.405). personal accomplishment (β=0.260). Conclusion Personality can predict occurrence nurses.
